‘Twas the match before Christmas, and what with the season,
There wasn’t a warm-up and last night was the reason.

Winchmore were hung over and standing precare-
iously waiting for Staines keeper to get there.

As you can imagine the game started off slow
and unfortunately, Staines dealt the first blow.

As for excuses, not much can be said
Perhaps visions of bacon danced in our heads.

And Ellie’s inject and Gem’s super hit
With our first goal our passions were lit.

Sat down in goal for the key half time natter,
Dads’ Deane and Bolton told us what was the matter.

The second half started, wide passes were key,
This led to Beth finding Erin, 2:1 it would be.

With players asleep or feeling last night,
We mustered one more attack to finish the fight.

Free hit from outside to Charlotte at P,
Stop, turn and hit… and that made it 3.
