Chairman’s Charity Match 2022

Calling all Winchmore Hill & Enfield Hockey Club members and friends! This Christmas it’s time to put down the mince pies, put on your hockey kit and raise some money for charity.

On Sunday 18th December 2022, we will be hosting our annual Chairman’s Charity Match – a mixed hockey match which this year will be between the ‘Masters’ and the ‘Apprentices’, raising funds for our local hospice – North London Hospice – which supports more than 3,500 people with a life-limiting illness each year in the communities of Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey. Many people connected with our club have experienced or will at some point experience the work they do – this is our way of saying thank you and helping them to keep up their amazing work.

The emphasis is on fun and raising money for charity, so don’t worry if you haven’t played for a while! The match starts at 11:30am at Southbury Leisure Centre, and we’ll then be heading back to Winchmore Hill Sports Club for drinks and food from 1pm, and to follow the World Cup Final which kicks off at 3pm.

We are asking for a donation of £10 to play (i.e. the same as our adult match fee) with all money collected via our JustGiving page and the proceeds going straight to the hospice, including gift aid where applicable.
