Here at Winchmore Hill & Enfield Hockey Club, we’re taking part in England Hockey’s biggest national campaign of the year – #HockeyFest! Taking place on Saturday 7th September, HockeyFest is focused on the friendly and social side of hockey, where clubs like us open their doors to new and existing hockey players.
Following the excitement of the recent FIH Pro League and Euro Hockey Championships, if you are feeling inspired then HockeyFest is the perfect way to join the hockey family. There is something for everyone, whether that is joining a junior section, being a parent coming back to the sport or volunteering. Full details below.
The adult team trials take place first at 12-2pm on the astro at Aylward School. Trials are open to existing members and new players keen to join the club and play competitive hockey. But don’t worry, our adult teams cover all ages (13+) and abilities, so we’re sure to have a team for you!
After trials, everyone (adults, juniors, parents and friends) is invited to the clubhouse (Winchmore Hill Sports Club) from 3pm onwards, for 5-a-side hockey on the ‘MUGA’ (Multi Use Games Area), other fun games and races including a new speed shooting challenge! And we wouldn’t want you to go hungry so there’s also a barbecue and the opportunity to get to know other club members and the committee!
